Biography

In the city of Utrecht, born and raised. Behind my turntables is how I spent most of my days.

I learned how to use a turntable before I properly learned the Dutch language (my native language). In the years to follow I would be inspired by Dutch DJ Ben Liebrand during the advent of Acid and House-music in it’s original form. This would lead to picking up DJ skills in the era of Hardcore/Gabba. With a little help from his friend Strange Darkness I learned how to use Music, an application for Sony’s Playstation. On which I made my first tracks. After a period of producing I went back to my first love, DJ’ing. Together with fellow Techno/Minimal DJ (and friend) Shinji Wasabi I worked on new skills. But being just a bedroom DJ won’t cut it for me, so I decided to get myself an education.

I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license plates said fresh and It had dice in the mirror.

I moved to Leeuwarden in 2006 for college at the Academy of Popculture (Dutch: Academie voor Popcultuur), where I am currently learning more about sound-design and music-production, as well as marketing and promotion, and learning how to manage these and many other aspects of the music industry.

Since 2008 I’ve started to take interest in Japan and Japanese culture and since the start of 2009 I’m learning Japanese. I’ve been there in September of 2009 and I’ve never felt more home in my life. (I’ve never felt at home anywhere to be honest.) My dear girl Lunemusique helped my stay in Japan and made it the most beautiful days in my life. Now, I’m investigating work and life in Japan, combined with popular culture like music and management.

And don’t forget my newly found and soon to launch music-label; Prowess Records… Currently, I’m in the launching phase of my own label!
